The Wisconsin Farm Technology Days is the largest agricultural show in Wisconsin and one of the largest in the nation. The three-day outdoor event showcases the latest improvements in production agriculture, including many practical applications of recent research findings and technological developments. Each year, it is held in a different Wisconsin county - on a different host family farm.
Barron County is excited to be hosting the 2013 Farm Technology Days! Barron County ranks among the top ten counties in Wisconsin in annual cash farm marketing. Milk and turkeys are the principal farm commodities produced. Corn, soybeans and vegetable production are other leading sources of agricultural sales. Barron County’s climate is well-suited for agriculture with over 30 inches of rainfall each year and a 120 day growing season. More than 275,000 acres of Barron County farmland are classified as USDA prime agricultural soils.

Alex began farming in 1981 with his parents. From that time until today, with his wife, Mary, the farm has grown progressively as opportunities became available and the dairy industry changed.
